Dr. Jay Calvert
is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon with practices in Beverly Hills and Newport Beach, California. His primary focus areas are rhinoplasty, secondary rhinoplasty, facelifts, and breast augmentation surgery. Understanding that his high-end clientele also craves state-of-the-art beauty treatments, Dr. Calvert founded Rox Spa, a medical spa with cutting-edge technology where he performs non-invasive aesthetic treatments. His spa is located in the heart of Beverly Hills and Orange Country.
Dr. Calvert attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN for his undergraduate degree in molecular biology. While attending Cornell University Medical College in Manhattan, Dr. Calvert realized his passion for plastic surgery. He completed his residency at the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Health Sciences combined Plastic Surgery/General Surgery program. He also spent two years in the lab, writing two patents with his co-researchers at Carnegie Mellon University in the Robotics Institute.
As a high-demand guest lecturer and plastic surgery expert, Dr. Calvert attends conferences and seminars worldwide, speaking everywhere from the United Arab Emirates to New Zealand. He has been seen on national television on The Tyra Banks Show and The Doctors. Additionally, outside the operating room, Dr. Calvert co-hosts the Dr. Hockey Podcast with fellow doctor Jason Berkely. Dr. Calvert and Dr. Berkely analyze the latest in NHL and pop culture under the microscope. Featured guests have included Teemu Selanne, Doc Emrick, Jeremy Roenick, and many more.
Additionally, the Calvert family are active members of the Concern Foundation, a non-profit organization that’s raised over $60 million towards cancer research. Dr. Calvert and his wife, Kris, were honored as Cancer Crusaders at the 2018 Concern Foundation Gala for their work raising awareness and funds in honor of their ten-year-old son Ace, a leukemia survivor. Dr. Calvert is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Rhinoplasty Society, and various other medical/surgical associations.
